Parking for Patients and Visitors
Three Story Parking Structure for 223 cars (Payment required)
Parking is available for patients and visitors on the 1st Floor of both Towers A and B of the three story parking structure and in the adjacent open air parking lot.
- The parking structure is open 24 hours a day.
- The parking structure has an automatic fee assessment system, please enter the parking structure following the posted instructions.
- The hospital does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage due to theft, accident or building failure.
- The maximum allowable vehicle size is 5m in length, 3m in width and 2.2m in height.
Parking for the Disabled - 37 cars (No Payment Required)
- Parking is available 24 hours a day.
- For those with a Physical Disability Certificate, the Parking Lot in front of the main entrance of the hospital is available for your use. Please be prepared to present your Physical Disability Certificate when using the parking lot.
- The hospital can issue a Parking Permit to patients who don’t have a Physical Disability Certificate but who would be inconvenienced when coming to the outpatient clinics. Please apply at the attending department.
Parking Fees
Payment can be made at the automated payment machine on the 5th floor of the parking structure elevator hall or at the exit gate on the 1st floor.
※No fee is charged for use of the Parking Lot for the Physically Disabled.

The maximum fee charged 24 hours after entering the parking lot is 1,000 yen (assessed on a repeated basis).
To receive the discounted parking fees shown above:
Outpatients should go to the Cashier’s Counter on the 1st floor.
Inpatients and Visitors should go to the General Reception Counter on the 1st floor.
Check at the General Reception Counter on the 1st floor for details on the parking fee discounts.
To receive discounted fees after normal hours, please ask at the Reception Counter.
If you lose your parking ticket, a 1,000 yen lost ticket fee will be assessed. This is payable at the exit gate.
There is no charge for use of the Parking Lot for the physically disabled in front of the hospital.
Payment for parking fees can be made at the pre-payment machine on the 5th Floor of the parking structure Elevator Tower or at the Exit Gate on the 1st Floor.
(Please note that 10,000, 5,000 and 2,000 yen bills are not accepted.)

Outpatient Consultation Information
For First Time Patients
- Please present your insurance card at the Outpatient Reception Counter.
- Appointments can be made in some departments. Please refer to information on the department’s page.
- You will be charged a special combined insurance-covered and non-covered medical treatment fee of 1,620 yen(tax included) which is not covered by insurance in addition to a first time consultation fee.
For Follow-up Consultations
We ask that you present your health insurance card at the beginning of the month.
Appointments are convenient for those departments which allow them. Please refer to information on the department’s page.

Emergency Center
For those seeking medical care in the Emergency Center after hours and on holidays
The Emergency Center at Nikko Memorial Hospital is available 24 hours a day, with doctors from all departments available on an on-call basis. We are prepared to provide appropriate and timely medical care for patients with severe conditions after hours and on holidays. We do ask for your understanding and cooperation.
* Patients with more severe conditions are given priority. In some cases, based upon your
condition, you may be asked to wait for long periods.
* At this time, we are not taking patients in Departments of Neurology and Circulation.
* Pediatric Emergency Services are available on odd numbered days. On even numbered days,
Pediatric Emergency Services are available at the Steel Memorial Muroran Hospital.
* We ask that patients with fever and persons accompanying them wear masks.

Fees for Hospitalization
Hospitalization fees are determined utilizing a system of calculation (DPC) where a fixed daily amount for medical costs is decided by the name of the disease and the type of surgical operation or procedure.
Payment of Medical Expenses
- Your bill will be prepared on the 15th of every month. The bill will be delivered to your hospital room if you are still admitted to the hospital. The bill can be paid at the automated payment machine on the first floor or at the cashier’s counter also on the first floor. Payment can be made during holidays and during evening hours.
- The bill upon discharge will be prepared at the reception counter on the first floor. Please pay the bill at the automated payment machine on the first floor or at the cashier’s counter also on the first floor.
- Based upon the amount of the hospitalization expenses, you may be eligible for support for the high medical costs. For more information please consult with the Medical Welfare Counseling Office or ask at the reception counter on the first floor.

Visitation
For the quiet rest and safety of the patients, we ask for your cooperation and understanding regarding the following points:
- Apply for a visitor’s pass at the General Reception Counter (After hours: apply at the Evening Reception Counter). You can then visit the ward after receiving your pass.
- Before entering the patient’s room, please check with the Nurse’s Station on the ward.
- Please be aware that visitation may not be possible based upon the patient’s condition.
- We recommend that you use the Day Room for visitation so you won’t bother other patients.
- Please refrain from bringing young children when visiting.
- Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward: does not allow preschool children. Pediatric Ward: does not allow children of Junior High School age or younger.
- Restrictions on visitation may be put in place during seasonal outbreaks of infectious disease.
